i have a hobart 140 auto set and need to know what watt gen erator is required to get the job done.any help appreciated:
Reply:the way to figure  will be ::AMPS X VOLTS = WATTS  so if a machine uses  220 volts and  draws 30 amps it would be 220 x 30 = ?    6600 watt  min.   look at your label for your machine  for input requirements
Reply:Most weldors need a CV power delivery source. Most smaller and mid size generators will not do the job unfortunately.And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
