Reply:Looks good.  My only comment is that it looks like you welded the mesh on the outsides of the frames.  I'd have welded it on the insides only because I'm sure I'd walk by it and snag myself or my clothing on the edges...
Reply:all the welds are ground smooth and the expanded metal is cut only in 1/2" intervals so there are very few spurs and none after a little grinding

Reply:Nice front rack, but go a little higher at rear and you not only will have a basket to carry things but a roll bar for when things go really wrong!  Saves a lot of bent handlebars and lights and things.   Just a suggestion.  Have made several of these for my hunting buddies.  Their first reaction is cumbersome, but when they find my rack holds two 5 gal plastic fuel cans perfecttly they soon become fans!KK
