ok , there it is , i'm in a rush it rides on 4 timken taper rollers u can see the original fixture i built to do the lift ( welded to the bucket of loader ) but the accuators on the tractor were to small and it would leave me to short on height i'm out on the farm so the neigbours towmotor worked , after weldin chunks of I beam to the forks  sure  a little dangerous but , i was pissed , lifted that thing 2 times before and it was going up no matter what SWL ?????????? i don't know , i lifed the lawn tractor and the motor and trans out of my car and defection on the columb was minamal [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Reply:Dude! That thing is massive! You could probably lift your car!  I'm kinda curious about a coupla things. What are your hinge pins made of, and how is the column mounted to the floor? Nice pics too.
Reply:What is the size of the vertical wide flange?  From that you could figure out your capacity.  The arm is definitely strong for the reach.   Most of these rigs deflect massively long before failure.   How do you adjust for plumb?  A jib out of plumb is a bear to handle once you have a load on it.
Reply:yea, i'd like a closeup of the hinges myself. and is that exhaust from the motorcycle in the first pic?
Reply:I finger'd u guys would have some questions the pins for the hinges are 20mm grade 8 bolts  , i set apox. 60flbs preload on em and then drilled a hoole through the nut for a cotter pin the " H " beam is concreted with some re-bar 4 ' below the " heated floor " and yup , thats my rm . never even noticed the bike was running in the pic as for out of plumb , it is a little to the side . but for some reson my ol'man wanted to have it leaning back just a bit ( i compansated most of the side to side out of it ) here are some more picsi will be putting in 2 larger sway bracee and a little frame work in the future .[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]
