We have built a double head Sub-Arc straightline welder at work that has two oscillators on it. The bug-os have something wrong with them and they just rotate 90's while its welding. Has anyone else use these and have problems with them? We call Bug-o and they tell us they have never had that happen.
Reply:Welcome Tigwldr I had a similar experience with a plasma machine torch mounted in a Bug-O, I mentioned it recently in another thread: http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...g-o#post326177During high-frequency starts the drive motor would over speedYou're probably experiencing some sort of electrical interference; I know that's not a very specific reply, but hopefully it helps with your troubleshooting.Good Luck
Reply:When I had the same problem with over speed with a plasma set up in a Bug-O the recomendation from Bug-O was to run a jumper from the carriage to grounded condiut. this solved the problem for me.Last edited by lars66; 11-29-2009 at 11:48 AM.Reason: poor spelling |
