I was wondering if any one has built there own holding tank for waste oil to mount a oil burner on. Any suggestions or pictures would be good. Would like to save some money and build my own tank and support posts. The tank would be between 250-300 gals.
Reply:HI,Gauge steel tank has plastic spoked wheels, steerable front caster and a long handle for easy transport. Low profile slips under any car or truck. Removable metal screen for draining filters. V-bottom tank slopes and has a 3/4in. clean-out hole for easy drainage. Uses any standard furnace filter to capture larger non-burning particle..Thank you...Tools Chennai - H.J.R. Reply:Nope, didn't build one, too much work. Found a couple used ones cheap from a company that sells & installs waste oil burners. I have a 200-300 rectangular gallon shaped tank I bought for $75.00 bucks. You might look for used...I hung my oil burner from the ceiling. But I could have mounted it on top of the tank if I made a second level using angle iron for legs..Last edited by Mr_Fixit; 12-02-2009 at 09:39 PM. |
