We took down this tower for a guy and he gave it to us for scrap metal. I figure someone out there would need this thing. It seems like I could sell it for quite a bit possibly. It is 42' tall and breaks down into two sections. There are plates on the sections so a guy could add on more sections. Both sections together weigh around 3k lbs.Do you guys have any suggestions on what it is worth and where I might find someone to buy it. Reply:Go to any ham/amatuer radio or cb radio discussion forum and post a for sale ad with your location and details about the tower and pics. I'm sure you'll get a few offers on it.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op

Reply:The two sections would also make a couple of good trusses for a roof.

Reply:Try posting on qth.com this is a Ham Radio classified ads website. Would make some ham operator real happy. Looks like a CATV Head End tower, I see the big C-Band Dish beside it.BSSServices1997 F250 4X4 Powerstroke w/ Bobcat 225NT & tools1992 F450 SuperDuty 7.3IDI w/ Bobcat 225NT & more tools!
Reply:Am a ham here but already have more tower than I can climb (75 ft), so I sent the url for your post to a fellow ham. I will find out where you can best advertise it, but perhaps you already have that in the above posts. |
