The Drilling rig plans for portable drilling rig from http://drillingfab.com/ worked very well. just click on drilling rig plans and theres the info... The book we got came in about 5 days. plans are easy to follow becuase it has lots of pictures. you'll need a choop saw and welding machine. we used a stick machine with 7018 rods. i wish i had a wire welder to make things nicer. I am make 2 rigs now ,because my friend from work already bought the first one before it was finished. it took me and my son longer to round up the iron than to build. for a average welder it takes about 6 to 8 hours to make. It drill fine. we got water at 120ft. i'll let you know how it does at the deer lease next week..i recomend this to anyone who wants a well and does not want to pay 8000.00 bucks for water well.
