I could use some advise on this project. I've decided there are two ways to fix the rust on the bottom of this machine. I could either use a filler peice and weld it just to fill the gap, or it might be better if I fabricated an entirely new bottom. What do you guys think? Also how do y'all think the paint on the front of the door will turn out if I weld an entirly new bottom peice? Will there be a line from the oils that shows through the top coat? Reply:I would spot in a replacement piece for the bottom and then sandblast the door so you couldn't tell the differance, that would take care of the oil you were worried about showing through. But then again, people always tell me I go the long way through a project.
