It also seems that a well penetrating flat weld is not a good weld. The crown of the weld should have some height. So a vertical up hill, fill-it, but weld, Thats about all I can think of. These welds be basically be the same shape? I know a lap weld is a deferent animal.Vern
Reply:The profile should be on the positive side of flat. Here is a nice description of differences in profiles.
