well this is what i had to do todayboss said "its gotta be welded standing up"i said "whatever"i had no idea i'd be 20 feet in the air standing on a box..with nowhere to go...(one false move and... )16"diameter X 15'long with a 2" wall thickness .015 shrink fit on the heads..after welding it gets re-bored for taper lok bushings..then i gotta slide a 4" shaft thru the whole thing...center the shaft and finish turn the O.D. 15.750 +- .002   what fun  ...zap!start with this so you dont have "lobster arms" when done...Attachment 3936now just stand there and don't moveAttachment 3937the subject matter..5/32 7018 root pass (x2) at 200 amps..finish pass at 150 ampsAttachment 3938view from the top..its a long way down...Attachment 3939view from the top twards the back end of the shop..(my "new" tig machine is at the far end on the floor.. ) Attachment 3940Last edited by zapster; 12-27-2007 at 05:20 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
