I buy these ones at the welding supply house, and I think there must be something else I could use, that i have not yet tried? Maybe some of you have discovered it? Please share your discovery information!
Reply:I go to a awning manufacturer. The sell a heavy flame resistant cotton fabric. Here the material is called drab olive. It look like military tent material. It is four feet wide. It is highly water resistant, also. Off the bolt it is about 4 dollars per yard. I have used housing shingles to protect flooring when welding around posts. It is often readily availiable at new construction sites.

Reply:There's also something called duvetyne, which is commonly used in theater. It's black denim fabric that's heavily treated with fire retardant.-Heath |
