Angle+flatbar=channel..

Fabbed up some angle and flatbar to make a odd size channel for the back of a boat..3/32 aluminum 6061 T651welded with 1/16 tungestion sharp! and a #4? cup @ 80 amps 38%ar 64%he gas mix..needed the outside and the inside done 'cause the outside will be ground and smmothend out..here's the piece..Attachment 4692top..Attachment 4693inside the channel..Attachment 4694and after that there were these 8 new steel sleeves that go to a sling on the rear of a tow truck..only took one pic..they were all the same..the hole diameter is 1.25...Attachment 4695i love it!!...zap!Last edited by zapster; 12-27-2007 at 05:22 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Angle+flatbar=channel..Hmmmm your right it does.Its a simple idea, and an obvious solution, but I bet alot of people (me too) have spent too much time looking for a specific type of stock when the stuff to make it was right there. Good idea. One more item added to my bag of tricks.
