Looking for easy to use CAD software

Wondering what CAD software people use. I would like to find a fairly easy to use and hopefully free package that I could use to draw uprelatively simple items. For instance am looking at building a welding table and although I could do it the old fashioned way with pencil and paper, looking to do it in CAD. Reply:There's something to be said about learning the fun that is Google SketchUp. While it's not as powerful as AutoCAD, it is still pretty impressive. I recommend if you get it to watch every video tutorial that you can find. Big bonus, the free version isn't totally crippled.The world is amazing when you are slightly strange.
Reply:Second to Google Sketchup...awesome program! The fact that it's free and does what it does is great. The video tutorials are really helpful too.After a couple hours....this is what I came up with for an off-road trailer project this spring:
