I am cutting mild and stainless steel tubing to make turbo pipes with. What do you suggest to cut them with? Then they have to be tig welded. I have a chop saw, but it very messy. Alot of clean up as u can imagine. Thanks,Dave
Reply:I think a good band saw or a cold saw would be the ticket. My name's not Jim....
Reply:cold saws are always very nice. so are band saws. Can also be done with a plasma cutter.
Reply:You should give this bandsaw a look lathemaster.com/Benchtop%20Bandsaw.htm . I've been quite pleased with mine and I've cut 2" solid round stock without a problem.
Reply:A band saw is great if you're patient. A cold cut saw is very fast. For pipes, one of the Evolution miter-type saws might be a very cost-effective way to go.Jack OlsenMy garage website
Reply:Cold cut saw would be my first choice, but your not going to drop the coin on one of those so I would look at a dry cut saw.Have we all gone mad? |
