I just rented a 1200 sq ft shop and it fills up with smoke when Tig welding. Do you guys use any type of ventilation like a stove would use, or something of that nature? I was thinking about fabbing one up but didnt know if that create a problem when welding. My buddy suggested using a box fan that had a speed control on it so it wasnt like a toronado and drawing the smoke/fumes thru the back of it. Any suggestions? Thanks,Dave
Reply:Tig welding shouldnt cause smoke. But if you mount a fan in a wall drawing air outside, it will pull the smoke out.UA Local 598
