Built an aquarium stand for the wife today,so thought I'd post a couple of pics before and after painting. It is made entirely from iron I have scrounged.                           MikeOl' Stonebreaker  "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes"Hobart G-213 portableMiller 175 migMiller thunderbolt ac/dc stick Victor O/A setupMakita chop saw

Reply:Looks plenty good to me. What did the dog have to say? He was lookin it over pretty good.
Reply:Thanks, guys. Fun4now,the wife has asked a time or two just how much iron I intend to scrounge.I tell her if I throw a piece away today, I'll probably need it for something the day after.  Sosrec, a pair of new fish she put in our small pond are apparently breeding. We found 12 fry from two different hatches while cleaning the pond last week. She wanted an aquarium to raise them in this winter.  Sandy, the dog just likes to look over the finished product. When I start using chop saw, grinders and mig,she wants nothing to do w/ my shop!!                          MikeOl' Stonebreaker  "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes"Hobart G-213 portableMiller 175 migMiller thunderbolt ac/dc stick Victor O/A setupMakita chop saw
Reply:Nice looking stand.Wish my dog was like yours, mine needs a welding hood cause shes always trying to help.Just got back from vet darn dog got tick bites out hunting pats. The cool thing is I'm welding up some of his large animal equipment to pay off bill.
Reply:looks like it could be used for more than a fishtank stand..very well done  ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:It's the first time I've built something w/ legs spread like that. After a little thinking finally figured out to leave ends of legs square. Then layout where I want bottom of legs on welding table, then tack inside corner of each leg to table at approx angle desired, then work them into position so tray will sit on top of them. Use framing square from table surface to get everything equal, then mark and grind down tops of legs to fit tray and weld legs to tray. After welding in supports for shelf, break tacks from table and grind bottom of legs to level them and weld on footpads. Wasn't as difficult as I first thought.                Thanks for the compliments, guys & gals,                                   MikeOl' Stonebreaker  "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes"Hobart G-213 portableMiller 175 migMiller thunderbolt ac/dc stick Victor O/A setupMakita chop saw
