I actually managed to get this done this A.M. before we re-wired the machine..its kinda hard to see but this was one beat to crap shoulder on the roller..its supposed to be square..but its so beat up that it is "undercut" by 3/8 of an inch...i had to keep what was left of the top "the way it is"in other words dont melt the top of the "whats left" of the shoulder.....zap! to the rescue!!i get all the fun jobs.. ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:I had to do the same thing to a carrier in a rear axle. The guy tells me to be "precise" in the relitive term. After I am done welding up what the bearing chowed up, he proceds to chuck the assembly up in his brake lathe(so precise NASA might call him). To make a long story short, "precision" means turning the assy down just enough to pound a Timken bearing on. To say the least I was horrified. Anyway I don't know where I was going,but nice work Zap.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."
