Customer brought in a water cooled rubber roller for me to repair..seems the journal was cracked on the face...i said "i'm NOT going to "v" it out and weld it..its only going to break again.." seems we did not make this roller in the begining..if we did we would have put double heads in it..soooo.. the customer was called and we told them that we need to "start from scratch"they agreed..but we'll re-use the original tube and just replace the heads..what fun..first of all before you start make sure you write down what your getting rid of so you can make it over..you need a "plan"..next thing to do is strip all the rubber off so you can steady rest the end..(what a mess that makes..)next in order is to "loose" the old journal..i just turned the whole thing down to about 2" and used a cut-off tool on it..next in line is to drill it out so you can get a boring bar in there..heres where it gets really messy..next post...zap!Last edited by zapster; 10-19-2006 at 04:53 PM.I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
