A guy at work the other day was telling me about these national standards that are out there for doing what ever type of work that one does. I'm interested in something that would cover building custom wrought iron fenses and gates and sign holders ect ect and really don't know what to charge so that's where they come in. Can anyone point me in the right direction?Mike

Reply:Oh, and you may want to look into building codes.. seems like it's something like South Eastern Building Codes or something like that. They set standards for safety of commercial buildings. It's stuff like the height of handrails, distance between horizontal members, distance between vertical rails (to keep kids from between them), standards on plumbing and many other building codes. I think that would be your best start...to look for BUILDING CODES.
