check this out my first camo job

this is the first time i have used the camo, and it came out great. i was going to use black and grey for the miller but the wife got the collor mixed up and we ended up with black and blue. what a lucky break, it looks supper cool like that. this is a carry case for spare torch and leads as well as foot controle. right now it has a 25' water cooled torch and foot controle in it. i'm also making a dynasty cover for him and anothere case similer but larger. i finished up the front embroidery on the dyn200 so i'll have to find a pic of that for ya too. i was just so siked about how cool the camo came out i wanted to show it off to ya all. Reply:thankswe have been working as hard as i can to really get the cover and accessory's going. any idea;s are always welcome. if you can think of some thing not out you always wanted, shoot me an e-mail or mention it here and we will See what we can do, thats how the spare cable case came to be, customer request, same with the children's size miller shirts and the tommy welder design, and the chopper. the chopper was bulldogs request night be for last. and the case was about 2 weeks ago. we do our best to keep the customer happy. now i gotta find a decent pic of the Hobart welder guy for ZAP!!! i might have to draw it up, good thing i took those art classes in High school. if business picks up a lil more now that we can take Credit cards i might just get the soft ware to do the digitizing myself and save the customer a few $$ on the personal business logo's. that would be nice. we are always trying to keep the prices down but e-bay fees are killers and quality fabric and supply's are expensive. so we get the guys that want quality not cheep stuff, no way to compete with the over seas mas production in the price war, all we can do is try our best to keep the price down and offer a better quality product to the people that know the difference and are willing to pay a little more $$ to get a lot more quality. the covers really look great and work way better than the mass produced company ones. all we can do is offer a guaranteed fit, quality, and great looks. so far its gotten us a 100% satisfied customer base that many have come back for more items after getting the first and seeing the quality, pictures just cant do them justice, they are even nicer in person. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.

Reply:OK ZAP you get the royal treatment here, pick a color. usualy we just offer up the basic, white blue orange or red, but this should be fun, so pick a color any color. just too many options to offer on e-bay people just get to caught up in trying to decide then never get to it, gotta keep it simple for the e-bayers   but you can pick from the wall of shame. Reply:Do you send out all your digitising?I know the software is expensive- I cant remember how much, as I bought mine with the machine, and since I have a 6 needle babylock, the price was pretty high.But I do all my own digitising, and its really pretty easy and quick.I do my design in photoshop, save as a bitmap, and import into the Palette software for digitising. Do a bit of cleanup, depending on the design, can be 5 minutes to an hour.If you are going to do custom work, it sure helps to be able to do custom designs fast.I dont do any welding covers- just extremely wierd artwork with mine.Like this puppy here-part of a show I had at an art gallery last year- sold a lot of stuff, too. I was showing a lot of my welded artwork too, but didnt sell but one of those, while I sold a whole lot of embroidery- who knows? Attached Images
Reply:we got VIP cuspomizing witch alows us to download designs and load them to our disk for the embroidery machine. it also lets us resize by 20% and add our own lettering. the lettering is a big help. but we can not do our own digitizing yet that software is like $1500 for our machine. we have huskizarna machines and although probly one of the highest priced home machines they have worked well for us problem free for over 5 years. when we got the embroidery machine we also got the card loader and the VIP so we could change file types and add lettering alowing us the abillity to use almost any design out. but did not have the $$ for the digitizing also as we got the embroidery machine, a serger and a sewing mahine, recently we added another sewing machine to our colection.there is a fella about 3 miles from us that is doing our digitizing, his prices are the best i have found and his quality is great, befor we were having to send stuff out to canada based firm for the digitizing, they also did good work but the price was higher and the time to get it back was much longer.we defenetly want to add digitizing but at the moment are trying to figure out how to get some one to lend us $50,000 to buy a shop in town for the wife to open a sewing shop. seems like $40,00 the building price was too small to get any one to bother lending so now we are looking again in the $50,000 figuring the extra start up $$ will come in handy and will be available to help make the payments wile the biz is getting started, once we level out and start bringing in decent $$ we will use the rest of the startup $$ to pay down the loan. the town will also give us a $5,000 grant for opening up a shop in town. so that would give us $15,000 to work with in start up $$. of witch we should not need much as we already have most every thing we need already. the shop also has a apartment abouve it we can rent out to help offset the expenses.we are also looking at another brand of software for digitizing that a lot cheaper and seems like a good program, its the one the guy doing it for us now uses so we know the program has the ability to do quality work. he has yet to charge me over $25 to do any digitizing so for now he is a good option alowing us to offer our customers the option of putting there logo on there covers or even welding jaclets like the tillman kind, hopeing to have a similer line up on the site soon.problem is i have limited amount of funtional time to offer and we have a lot going on. last night i was up all night eating codean likecandy and still being unable to sleep or even lay down for more than about 20 minuits at a time, so its a bit hard to get stuff going but we keep plugging away and hope to get there some day. cool gun sheet, i wouold realy like to see some of your embroidery art, thats a realy cool idea for an art meadeum, not only do you have an endless suply of collor options as seen above but you can also controle tecture with several stich options from cross stitching all the way to fluffy cut loops. i might look into some of that as well after we get the digitizing software. if and when we get the shop we intend to use it 1 sunday a month as an art gallery. i'm hopeing to get some other local artest to contribute to shows. i figure this will bring in a wide veriaty of art for the customers and give some othere local artists a place to show there work. depending on the popularity and the amount of suport we get we may increase the number of shows per month depending on its popularity. i have done some metal art and have found it realh hard to sel threw e-bay due to not being able to realy see it for what it is threw a picture. art, even bad art, needs to bee seen in person to be apreceated. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.

Reply:Make the camo ones but put nothing on them.Sell them to your customers tell them you will put any logo/writing they want. Again sew nothing on the covers. When they call you back and say " WTF???? Where's my logo???
