This is a ford door handle I made for a guy.  The plastic ones kept breaking on him so he wanted one that wouldn't break.  The pic ain't that good but it's the only one I got.  I used a manual mill and a grinder.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:Ok, I found a few more pics of it.  It's already scratched up, it was nice and slick right after I polished it.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:Hey LIttleFuzz ...Judgeing from the tiny scratches on the handle in the second set of pictures and the fact you said you had no more pictures when you first posted and the time of night you posted this.I'm going to go out on a limb and say you went to this guys house in the middle of the night and took the door handle back of his truck so you could get some more pictures of it.Now, how is he going to get to work with his door stuck shut?    LMAOAw ... just Cra_pin around with ya ...    Good Job !Washman
Reply:No he just hadn't put it on yet.  It's been knocking around in his toolbox.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:Man you just put new meaning to the work patience. That type of thing is NOT easy to do the way you did it and to have it turn out like that is exceptional. That guy you made it for will owe you a kidney for doing it that well. Was he pleased? and how long did it take to do it? I'm impressed. Reply:thanks 4shorts.  I took a few hours because it was a piece of 2" solid round aluminum.  None of it's welded and I don't have much experience on a mill.  I have cut a few keyways in shafts but as far as mill work that's about it (and the shifter I posted also)DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools

Reply:Nice handle. I hate to tell you this but you have competition. Ford makes a metal handle that will fit in place of the plastic one. It was used on heavy trucks like in the F-700 class and 1980 - 83 pickups. Nowhere as nice as yours of course.
