Reply:Looks good, could probably use a little less heat and space out your dips or push the puddle a little farther.John -  fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!-  bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com

Reply:you of all people dont know what a henrod 2000 is,its a torch that they claim you can tig, weld aluminum, cut like a plasma, its like this magic low presure torch setup, the dude on the video is really good with it but im scepticle, thanks for the info earlier
Reply:can you post a link about this thing?i'd like to see it.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:a guy at work had one and let me watch the video, the dude in the video made it look easy ,i was interested in its cutting ability more than the welding side, trying to not buy a plazma cutter, but i asked here in (general welding questions) and a few people said go for the plasma,so i guess thats what ill do,i did find some on e-bay you could start looking there
Reply:If it's what Im thinking, it's an oxy/fuel torch ( the henrod 2k) http://www.ustool.com/usstore.asp?WC...tem&WCE=95873sTIG is similiar to oxy/fuel welding... ( cept requires electricity )...

Reply:Thank you all for the comments and Tips.  i will work on them.thanks again!
Reply:You can't TIG with a torch by definition.  TIG stands for Tungsten electrode and Inert Gas shielding.  However, torch welding and TIG welding are similar as you have a heat sorce in one hand and filler wire in the other.  TIG welding aluminum is easy with AC.  But, gas welding aluminum is hard because a torch cannot clean the metal as you weld.  You need to use a flux.  Acetylene works well on stainless, but I've never been able to completely overcome the reduction in corrosion resistance with a gas torch.
