Miller AEAD 200 le. 1978 model serial # HJL65115 lost the rotor bearing and quit welding before I got it shut off. Installed new bearing but in the process cut a wire on the rotor winding, next to the bearing. Soldered it and coated with liquid tape. Also the dc plug fell apart when tearing down the welder. Have never used it so taped of the leads and didn't replace. Cleaned the collector rings and put in new brushes. The rotor dropped into the stator. Damage appears minimal just removing some rust(?) build up. I have the manual, meters, and rudimentary knowledge of things electrical. BUT I need someone to walk me through the steps needed to find the problem. Communication a quirky mess. I can post and read replies but can't reply to posts made by others. So if you'd email me "[email protected]" that would solve the communication problem. Surely could use those step by step guidelines. Thanks, YahmI |
