Ok I know it's gay to be glad about aluminum beads, but tough break I am.Turned my pulser off to see if it was making it too easy for me, and I seem to still have the touch so I'm a happy camper.1/16 sheet pieces, one thick 1/4" disk with some bits attached to it from a while ago. I was duly impressed that I could weld the 1/4" disk to the 1/16 sheet underneath it. Do I rock or what? - John Attached Images

Reply:Thanks, I'm mighty happy with my progress since my first attempts at aluminum were absolute disasters.HTP invertig201, 2% lanthated 3/32 tungsten. 80 amps for the 1/16 sheet, 65 or 70% on the balance (i.e. 70% to the 'penetration' side), messed around with various frequencies from 20 hz up to 200 hz (at least I think 20 is the low end).Fun stuff !- John |
