I have a Lincoln Square wave 175. Does not have much use, maybe 3 hours on it.While tig welding some 1/8" steel the torch started to arch in the middle of the weld, if that makes sense. I had a 1/16" tungsten rod and machine set at about 85-90 amps.More like the arch starter would kick in while welding. Machine is not over heating, at least the lite does not come on. Sometimes it will do 1 or 2, 1" passes before it starts arching.thanks
Reply:Check your pedal for dirty contact inside the pedal, also check the control cord connection. Reply:Do you mean that the welding arc stops and you are left with only a high frequency arc? Are you welding with DCEN and HF arc starting, or is the HF set to continuous? |
