don't have big shop so most welding is done on gravel drive way, I need something that can go over gravel easy
Reply:Just make a regular one and maybe use straps to hold the welder on (ratchet type out to work out good) then use pnuematic tires (HF sells em cheap).Various GrindersVictor Journeyman torch200cf Acet. 250cf oxygenLincoln 175 plus/alpha2 gunLincoln v205t tigLincoln 350mpEsab 650 plasmaWhen you can get up in the morning, Its a good day.Live each day like its your last.
Reply:Thanks I cant believe i didn't think of that think I'm having a slow day
Reply:Blue,This board or the Hobart board had a cool thread on a 4-wheel steering wagon. Use that technology with pneumatic tires and a bottle mount that puts the center of gravity low on the cart and you have one trick off-road welding cart! Oh yeah, make sure you post pics... and welcome to the board. That aint heat lightning in the neighborhood tonight...
Reply:I saw that a while back my only concern is with the tank i once saw an oxy tank fall+flynow I'm kinda paranoid
Reply:Inert gas bottles (unlike acetylene) can be possitioned anyway you like (there has been considerable chatter about this on these boards), although I would avoid upside down for condensation reasons. Just protect the regulator from damage. That aint heat lightning in the neighborhood tonight...
Reply:thanks i didnt know that i must have confused this with accet tanks
Reply:I used the cheapo inflated 8" tires for the rear of mine. Works pretty good without going too expensive. Messed up on the positioning of the front handle some. I didn't give the height of the handle much thought.
Reply:Mines not completely finished so I never got around to taking a picture, but I used large lawn mower wheels on the back and setup the balance between tank and welder so the front was easy enough to pick and move around like a wheel barrow.
Reply:Thats like what i have but i need something bigger for my o/a setup to go on aswell |
