We all wanted to see whats in the inside of a gas mixer..I still don't have it figured out.. But heres a look at the mixer component and the insides..Side "A"..Side "B"..Inside the apparatice..This is the "valve" that the mixing dial goes on to..Now I'm not sure what to make of this..But its on the bottom of....Whatever it is.. Contridiction comes to mind..But thats what it is..and looks like inside..Next post is how I have to "run" my mixer.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:This is how mine operates since its not "stock" anymore..If I want straight argon..this is how I get it..The line from the argon tank bypasses the mixer altogether with the help of "Schrader" fittings..Just like a air hose..Here is the rear of the mixer..And here is the rear set up for mixed gas..The helium line goes directly into the mixer..And when I need mixed gas..I just "unplug" the argon line from the welder..plug it into the mixer..and then I plug the welder line into the mixer.. I'm not sure how it all works.... But it does..and it works great!!A mixer thats made just for Ar..He.. is diffrent..Both lines go to the mixer and one line goes to the welder..Set the dial at 100% and get 100% argon..Want 38% argon and the rest helium?Just set the dial at 38%..But the mixer I modified dont go to 100% on the dial..only 60%When the dial on mine is set a 5% or so it mixes the gas the way I like it..Like I said..I dont know how it does it..but it does..There is a major diffrence in the straight argon vs the mix as I have it set up on aluminum.."Lorenzo" and "Sail to you" can attest to that because I let them both try the two gas set-ups themselves at the last class I had.... ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
