Whats better, glass or plastic? I've always used a plastic but Im curious about starting to use a clear glass. I use shade 10 glass gold filters, would a clear glass make much of a difference? Thanks!

Reply:I never use plastic..not for the lens, the cover, the back piece, nothing.....I don't like it to warp from the heat...glass all the way...
Reply:I use carbonate (plastic) cover plates. Reply:Plastic outer cover, glass filter, and plastic inner cover. If the lense ever shatters it's very good idea to have the plastic inner cover. Over time the plastic outgasses and sorta fogs the glass filter, but it's better in my opinion to be safe. I can buy new lenses, but eyes are hard to replace."Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/ |
