This is my first project with the Howron Bender. After reading all the posts here about the different benders I decided on this one. Even though you guys only referenced their dies as a reasonable source for the other benders I decided to take a chance. I am happy I did it is a quality bender at an affordable price and the customer service is excellent. Attached Images
Reply:Nice job. Nice looking shop, too.Saw your post in the Hobart forum on this. Never heard of Howron before. Was debating on a HF bender. Haven't come up with anything I needed to bend yet. Maybe a wagon trail will open up near me. Life is good!Typos are there for those that look for them. I try to do something for everybody.
Reply:Thanks for the reply Visorblue,Like I said I searched both forums for bender info and the only reference to Howron was in a HF post referring to dies to fit the HF bender That got me to the site and I started comparing. I went to HF and looked at their compact bender but thought I wanted something more in a bender ie; larger capability. I was really impressed with the Shop Outfitters but it did not fit my budget. I thought the Howron would be a reasonable compromise between the two. I called and got a direct line to the manufacturer and was asking basic questions still trying to make up my mind. The honesty and the helpfulness and the lack of sales pressure made up my mind during the call and the bonus was buying at show price's.
Reply:Hi Steve 5568 Great looking first project. I am looking for a bender and was considering a cheap one from Princess Auto ( seems to be Canada's version of Harbour Freight). I had never heard of Howron but after seeing your post I went to their website for a look.Which one did you buy? After using it do you think you bought the right one or would you get a bigger model if you were buying now?"Don't confuse motion with progress"
Reply:Nice project..... is this something for yourself?_________________Chris
Reply:I got the Pro Bender 2 and it is the perfect size for me as of now. It will bend up to 1-1/2 as is. The project is for the wife that way I can keep getting more tools. |
