derby seat bars

These are some seat support bars some demo derby friends of mine asked me to make for them. I can't see making something to fit one application when with a little more work I can make it fit many. they are adjustable from 4 feet wide to 5.5 feet with 3 inch adjustment holes. I hope they will work for many years for them. Reply:Well hoping to sell more of them because they are adjustable. Not tring to get rich I would rather make a good reliable product .  Somebody who races in one of these derbys once maybe twice a year is not going to want to spend the money to have one built to fit every car the run every year. I think it might have cost me maybe another 10 or 12 bucks to make them adjustable.  And they will spend the money once or twice to have a product that they can use agin and agin.  I make fuel tanks for these guys also. Well worth there money to have a nice tank built that dose not leak or involve cutting open a propain tank. Reply:I use to paint my products but anymore it makes to much of a mess and loose to much time. My shop is not real big and I am slowly converting from a auto hobby shop that i did some welding in to a shop just for welding.  I have been selling lots of auto stuff off and cleaning it up. I do not have a picture of to fuel tanks i made for these guys last year.  But i am getting ready to build one next week but right now it just a sheet of 1/8 steel.  I know these welds are not the best but i was fighting with a new regulator took a while to get it tuned in just right.
