repair on a grinder

if i have used a grinder on a dc welder and the grinder is ac can it be repaired
Reply:what kind of grinder is it, most grinders use brushes which makes them ok to use with d.c

Reply:ok more details are needed? you pluged it in on your sa200 then it ran for a bit then started smoking, blew up etc? then you tried running it on ac and it didnt work at all? did you have your machine reved up, what type of sa200 do you have age wise?

Reply:Using a grinder with a variable speed switch will burn out the switch if used on DCI always tried to work with the oldest hand on the job to gain knowlege but now I can't find any.
