I have, "The Procedure Handbook of Arc Welding" by The James F. Linconln Arc Welding Foundation. This is a great text. One area of the book has actual WPS (weld procedures) for several weld processes. For the GTAW/Tig weld process it only has a couple examples. I am looking for a similar book that would have many examples of WPS for GTAW/Tig. Anyone can refer some book for me?Thank you, BennyB

Reply:Benny,I tend to recommend Miller's Tig Handbook. If you go to the Miller site (millerwelds.com) and look under resources you'll see what's available. If ordering the hardcopy, I'd recommend ordering their Student Pack ($25 including shipping), which includes the Tig Handbook, a GMAW Handbook, GMAW-P Handbook, welding calculators, and a bunch of other useful goodies.Best $25 you'll spend in welding. If more posters would read the Tig Handbook, 90% of the "basic" tig questions asked on the board would have already been answered.Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc.
Reply:Hello BennyB, go to www.millerwelds.com and click on the "resources heading" it will lead you to some really great information relative to tig welding. This might not be "WPS's" but it will provide you with lots of tips and suggestions for making better GTAW welds. Best regards, Allanaevald
