It has been a while since I have posted on here and wanted to show a new barstool racer that I am working on.This barstool racer has a 125cc 4 Speed with Reverse. I am running a 13T front and 28T rear sprocket. So far I have had it run 47MPH according to my GPS. I have a 22T rear sprocket on the way.Below is a link to a video we made last weekend and a link to our forum thread which will show the build up process foe anyone that is interested.Video link:Forum build link:http://barflyracers.com/showthread.php?t=537Mike Attached ImagesBuild a Barstool Racer at BarFlyRacers.com!

Reply:Hey Seamus,You should build one. They are a lot of fun and everyone will want to know where you got it from. This one I am working on you can drive it with one had at 30MPH with ease. It is a very smooth ride and has a great turning radius.Have Fun!MikeBuild a Barstool Racer at BarFlyRacers.com!

Reply:Oh - I thought he had video of the big 4 cylinder Suzuki motor bar stool racer. John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:The barstool racer with the 4 cylinder engine on it is up for auction on eBay for $14,000. He did a bid auction with reserve last week and the highest I seen it go was $9,000.For that kind of money, you want to ride it careful. To expenisive to flip it over.MikeBuild a Barstool Racer at BarFlyRacers.com!
Reply:That's ridiculous, you can buy those motors for a few thousand. If he sells it, I know what I'm building!John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com

Reply:i wonder how much road rash the guy in the video has patched up. plenty ill bet!
Reply:Diehard,I am not sure which video you are talking about, but if you are referring to mine on youtube.com, I have never wrecked and have no road rash. The 125cc engine has a nice smooth power band and is very stable believe it or not. Now on a previous build with a 6.5hp engine I have fallen off the back and tipped it vertical while playing around with wheelies. But never a crash or road rash... I am going to attempt a new speed record this weekend. I am looking for 50+ mph and then I will change the rear sprocket and try again. 60mph is my goal for this build. These barstool racers are more sturdy than you think. Most people see them and immediately think they easily flip over. Not the case, at least with my designs; I have to put it up on the two side wheels, it does not just happen. So build on everyone!MikeBuild a Barstool Racer at BarFlyRacers.com! |
