I was wondering if anyone has ever attempted anything like this on the cheap. I am not attempting to make anything complicated or anything that would hold alot of weight. I got the idea of using the circular ball bearing cage from a lazy susan my wife had. Then I thought well if I could find a large diameter bearing (I.E. Wheel bearing) maybe I could sandwhich that between two plates to make something that rotates. What I am trying to accomplish is the welding of pipe to a plate. The trick is is that the welds between the plate and pipe need to look good. I was thinking if I could build it on the cheap I could have a friend spin (slowly of course) the unit while I welded.... Again these are just thoughts but as usual I will welcome any thoughts or ideas. Thanks,Chris
