I was looking at get a 95s so I could weld on my race car here at home and not keep carrying them into work. I am used to welding with a foot pedal and kinda need one on the thin stuff I will be working on. Could I just put a remote switch and a plug on the front panel and splice into the adjustment knob. Or is the knob part of a board that I wouldn't want to mess with.  Chad
Reply:I don't know anything about rewiring it. But I own a 95s and can weld razor blades together with it. It's not a picture perfect stack of dimes, but it's functional. (ok, maybe two razors together isn't that functional, but the weld is ) How thin are you looking to weld?
Reply:It probably could be done, however, like Grimm said, you probably would not find it necessary.  The cost of a foot pedal would be very close to the cost of the 95S.Look at the 160TS if you want to get something with more features, like a foot pedal and HF TIG.
