I thought I might try throwing my two cents worth into the project forum.  Here are a few pictures of the Scoobygator.  It's powered by a Subaru 4WD drive train and the rest is my design.  When done it will have two seats, a dump bed, a roll cage and a movable winch among other features.  To see a more complete description of the project and how it's going visitwww.pvpmedia.com/sg.htm Attached ImagesDave B.E-MAIL:  [email protected] PAGES:  www.wfmservice.comwww.rides4rides.comwww.pvpmedia.com/53f100.htmDad always said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."I say, We can make it better.

Reply:HEY! It beats therapy and I don't need an appointment.you got that right, big time.i got my wife one of those suby wagons to lern to drive in, she is about 4'3"  and suprisingly enough i can also fit in it. huge seat movement range in them. any way i saw one in the local papper that wont pass inspection so they only want like $700 for it and my first thought was some thing verry similer to the scubygator you have there. they are realy nice little 4WD'ers only real drawback i can see is if the trany starts slipping you are looking at over $2000.00 to get it rebuilt.  we just had to do it to ours. although i supose all 4wd's are expensive to rebuild. My wife just about had a cow when it showed up. boy do i know that situation, they just dont have the same forward looking abilitys as us i guess.LOL but hey what do you expect, mar's and satern or some thing like that right. they have there uses though.great looking job ya got going there, be shore to give us some final shots of it on compleation.i'm off to check out the website pic's of it. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.

Reply:given an option i would realy prefer a standerd any way. but then again you most likely will have to take what you can get.it would be great fun but its not too likely i'll have the $$ to do it. i did start one with a 12HP B&S for around the yard, i might get it done this summer if i can get the steel needed for it. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.

Reply:Very cool setup, and creative.  I am sorry to say though I hate the bumpers.  A nice tubular bumper front and rear would set that thing off.Lots of toys.
