Got a Lincoln Idealarc 400 R3-S that I purchased to get the dolly. Idealarc 400 is three phase and most folks want single phase 220. problems is scrap copper is $3 lb.. making scrap value higher than welder is worth. Idealarc weights 475+ lbs, easily 250 lb+ copper or $750+ in copper value. sure hate to scrap this out... but I'm running out of room. 52, 59 & 66 Lincoln SA200, Tombstone Idealarc 250, Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 50, Marquette 250 amp mig, Miller 330 A/BP

Reply:_CY_ - I'm afraid you may be overestimating the machine's copper content.Let's have a look inside.Don't forget some welder transformers are aluminum wound, even large industrial units, although this one probably isn't aluminum.Odd that the welder seems to have a single-phase cord end. Reply:It'll have some copper hardware and other smaller coils, but I kind of wonder if the total would even hit 75# with very labor intensive separating.Good Luck
