help!!

i have been a welder for 12 years and i am desperatly seeking employment with a company that does alot of work outside of the united states, i love my profession, its my passion, im fairly youn (32yrs) single with no children and nothing to tie me down. basically i wanna see the world! and i am hoping my craft will someday provide me that opportunity! im healthy and in peak physical condition, i am proficiant in flux core, mig and stick i can free hand tig pretty well but am still learning to "walk the cup" i can do it but i would not yet say that i have mastered it, i have usually ben the best welder in any fab shop that i hav ever worked, i have expierience in coal power plants and refineries and when working in fab shops i have always worked in asme code fab shops.. if there is anyone out there that could point me in the right direction or give me the names and numbers of any companys that send welders to do work in other countrys i would be eternally greatfull, i currently work for bechtel/becon but would be willing to part with them for an opportunity to travel the globe, thank you for taking the time to read this andif you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Reply:Roadtechs.com is the web site...I use that to find work usually but I am trying to get off the traveling and start working something local so I can spend time with the family...But the way the economy is I may not have a choice but to go back out...I just hate those year long gigs....kids grow too dang fast...If it's too hotpick up your granny panties and get a desk job!!!!!!Denny Dog
Reply:Two other contracors in the overseas arena are KBR and Mantech International.  I worked for both of em before I got sick and the money and travel was a gas.  Had a ton of fun, traveled the world and got paid to do it.  If I had not gotten sick I would still be in Afghanistan burnin rod for big bucks.  But now I am home, entertaining myself in my home shop and doing Dialysis.  If you need more info on the two I mentioned, PM me and I will give you what I got.BobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys?  Trade?
Reply:Damn mang....If your working for Bechtel? What project you on?You obviously have the skills.There is your answer. It's arguably one of the largest construction companies in the world. And the largest in the U.S. It's got projects that are ongoing all over the world. Just bid on something when it comes up..Seems like the easiest answer to me....Just a few.Also check out shaw, kiewit, kbr as aforementioned, Fluor, JacobsAll of the major gas companies...Exxon, BP, Shell.You can look into powerplant building in China, and France.
