i was in the shop with the camera so i took some pics of a stand i made awhile back its an old heavy tire rim with some 1/4 plate welded over the hole with some 2x2 square tubing for the base then all my attachments have some receiver tubing welded under them it holds a vice a piece of old railroad track and wire wheels the wire wheel has a thumb screw to keep it from wobbling most the time i just roll up to the base on my shop stool and don't move the pieces it works pretty good 350P 30A spool gun cut master 51 syncro 250 other stuff " take a dog off the street and make him prosper and he will not bite you sad the same cannot be said for man" i didnt use punctuation just to piss you off
Reply:Nice, i want to do something similar with some brake drums and off cuts. I will bolt mine to the floor as the width will be less than yours

Reply:Handy set up that way.I've got a vice I mounted on a post to an old truck rim, then got stupid and filled it full of concrete. It's a permanent fixture out under the tree now. |
