Here's a thing I made for a guy to go on the back of his tractor, it has a name but i can't remember what it is   He didn't want to use his truck in the hay field anymore.  He's pulling a bumper hitch trailer but I told him we might as well add a ball on top since he has a gooseneck too.   It's made from 3 x 3 x 3/16 tubing with 1/2" plates for the mounting spots and ball mount.Last edited by littlefuzz; 06-01-2007 at 05:24 PM.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools

Reply:Not a critic, but...   In my "day" job, I'm a boat mechanic. We use a compact tractor to move dozens of boat trailers a day in very tight spaces.  Ours is very similar to that except... we set the ball back a couple inches further than yours. This lets us go a little past "jacknifed" (90 degrees) to turn in a very confined space. We also set the ball dropped a few inches in order for it to be lowered completely to the ground level.  On the other hand... Your workmanship is far superior to ours!   Nice job!The best things in life all come on a stick!

Reply:Yeah - I made one and use it a lot for moving trailers around in my small yard - basically to stage them for my truck.  I love the thing - Why are the lift pins both facing to the left?
