Does anyone know where I can get this stuff for fuse welding like the powdered stoody stuff?Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:Here is what I got from a search for Suppliers of Silicon Carbide:.I don't know if that would do you any good, though; I think you need the right combination of powdered metals and probably flux to get the material to adhere without breaking the carbide down. What are you wanting to do with the stuff? It might be easier to give good advice it we knew.

Reply:Kennametal is the big player with suspended carbide in brazing materials.Also there is Wal-Colmonoy, Sulzer-Metco, Eutectic and Stoody.Matt
Reply:i bought mine from the deep rock drilling company.it's used to refurbish their core drills.i believ e its tungsten-carbide.
