Hi, I'm brand new to this forum but I have been welding for a couple years on the side. I bought this welding set up (Lincoln Idealarc RS3-325 w/LN-7 wire feeder) for 400 bucks and it's set up for aluminum. I bought it to do some exhaust/roll cage work on my project car so a few questions: 1) what size wire should I use for aluminized steel exhaust tubing (2.5-3inch)?I found a gun by Nu-tec that's flexible that will work if I keep the amps below 200, which shouldn't be a problem b/c the exhaust tubing is so thin as it is. Here's a link to it: http://weldingdirect.com/bimbst230amp.html My question is will this nu-tec gun work with my older LN-7 squirt feeder Last: where can I get different rollers for the wire feeder to fit the smaller diameter wire that I assume I'll be needing to do they exhaust work. Thanks for any guidance/help! |
