Here are some projects that I have been working on today and the day before.  Most of which had to be food grade so alot of prep work went into them. Here are some pics of a 2" 90 degree(.060 wall) tri-clover that I had to cut way down, knock around and weld back to 78 degrees with 1 1/4" between inside flanges.  And I had to shorten the flange on the door down to 1" above the metal. Here are some pics of a catch pan(20 ga) that I did a back purge on because of the sharp corners. And here is a s.s. duct(20 ga) I made for a creamery.Notice the fusion weld is smaller than the base of the tri-square.  I had no sugar on the back side.  I think I was running around 20 amps... Can't remember exactly.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Nice work, I love to see nice TIG stainless work. Keep up the good work.
Reply:Very cool. Are you left handed (like me?).The weld in the last pic looks to be travelling left to right.Favorite right now is a Miller Syncro 200.Tons of tools and I blame at least one of them when things don't go right.
Reply:Great work. Very intensive I'd bet.
Reply:I'm right handed.  For that weld, it was easier for me to sit in a chair so my face was eye level with the part and I was pushing away from my face.  It was pretty easy for me to see the fusion of the s.s..Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
Reply:nice work i have not had the pleasue of doing any food grade work. what are the stipulations on that stuff.63' Lincoln SA200 2008 miller trailblazer 302fibre-metal pipelinermiller camo BWEand all the guns and ammo a growin boy needs

Reply:That is nice! A couple of weeks back, as I was completeing the spring semester and my stick work, I got the chance to pick up a TIG torch for the first time ever and try some beads on scrap aluminum. It looked really ugly as you may imagine!  But I hope to take a class in tig this fall, I would love to be able to tig stainless! So I hope I'll be back to pick your collective brains as I go!City of L.A. Structural; Manual & Semi-Automatic;"Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place where gold is refined. Reply:s.s. is quite an animal if you don't prep it good enough.  Not to mention that you have to counter act for the pull it will give you after it's welded.  Unfortunately no one ever took me under their wing, so I had to learn the hard way(quite a few times).  Just remember that argon and low voltage are your friends.Common sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.
