Reply:That's cool! good job. I like the paint choices and applications. My wife does wedding cakes and makes flowers with icing. I've stolen a few of the folding techniques, petal counts and stuff guys just don't notice from her books. It comes in handy when I make metal flowers.

Reply:hammer, shoot me a PM here as to what covers you are refering to and who you are is person and i'll let ya know whats going on with them. the start of summer is kicking my but and i have not gotten out to the shop near as often as i would like or even as much as i was befor. we have a few backed up but ready to ship, you may be in them. my e-mail is going nuts for some reason?? some times i get 4 of the same message's and others i dont get any. so i dont relay on it if possible.SWells, good looking flower. i managed to get a few more made, on i put on a wooden plaque and a few more i painted for the yard. i'll try to get a few more pic's tomarow if i can get out to the shop.Little, thanks, i loaded ya a better pic of the mower. a lot of the desin came from my 7 year old as he wanted the flames and the web. i plan on making him take over the lawn mowing soon so i figured the least i could do was let him help in the design stage. this was my first atempt at painting flames, i used electritions tape to tape it off for painting. Reply:here are the last 2 flowers after paint, i'm finaly getting the hang of painting them and i'm finished.well if they sell i'll have to make the wife some more, she put in an order for 3 of them. if they dont sell it looks like the wife get a bunch of them. if i keep making them all summer by the time it snows i should be able to prity well cover the front yard. Reply:Those look great, let us know how well they sell. Just curious, what are you looking to get for one?
Reply:i was thinking like $20 for one or $35 for 2.its not big $$ but i dont know what to expect or charge for them so i just went with a low $$ mark. if i cant sell them for that its not werth making them. if i reach the point where i have to start buying steel to make them (other than the round bar) i will likly have to take the price up a tad. the one i have mounted on a plaque i figure it would go for $45 as it for inside on a wall where its expected to lat longer and should be able to justify the additional price as art insted of a yard orniment?? ok maybe not but it sounded good. what do you guys think is a good selling price?? summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
Reply:Sounds pretty cheap to me, taking your time, material, and equipment investment into account. I'd consider jacking the price up from what your looking at. Just shootin' in the dark here, but what about $30 each or $50 for 2. I've picked up a few extra bucks making pot racks, word of mouth mostly. I get around $200 each and they take about an evening to make. Good luck with it, if I was in your neighborhood I'd buy a couple from you.
Reply:if i make it to the flea market to try to sell them i'll let ys know how it goes, i would love to get $30 each or 2-$50 it shoure would make it a lot more worth doing, maybee i'll start them out at that and see how they go.thanksJameswhat kind of pot racks are you making ?? got any pic's ?? summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
Reply:Just curious, how'd you make out selling your flowers?
Reply:i never made it back to the flea market to try. the wife has been realy bad with alergys and i just didnt want to put her out in it enough to try to set up a booth. the first part of the summer is the werst, she is suposed to start her alergy shots this week and the pollen count is going down so we may make it next weekend. i just didnt have the haert to put her threw the mess for a few flowers.been realy buisy lately too, so not such a big deal to miss it. the city has dropped off about 10 dump truck loads of road rock/dirt so i might have to try to seel the flowers to get some $$ to rent a bobcat to spred it around and flatten it out into my driveway and a new enterence to my big shop.i'll pop a pic later today of it. should be great fun opushing it around.i figure if i get the rock free its saveing me the $ needed to rent some thing to move it with, but i still need to find the $$. summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time. |
