These are my first tig welds, i have done some gmaw and smaw and a some gas welding. Please let me know what you think as i am just learning and any advice is welcome. Setting were around 220 amps withe 1/8" pure tung 20cfm argon with an antique welder we have at work. tube is 2x2 inch 1/4wall alum.also the filler was 1/8 as that was all i had on hand Attached ImagesLast edited by jwright; 07-03-2007 at 07:46 PM.
Reply:Looks pretty good to me! Just watch your torch angle, and try to tighten up just how far apart you space the dabs of your filler material.
Reply:Your beads will start to look even better, if you lay a dime alongside them. It still works for zapster.
