I am seking "The Book" - Help me find it!

I have been looking around for 2 books.1st: i am hoping a book exists that explains different electrodes and their charecteristics,  what materials to use them on etc... it would be even better if it had pre and post heating cycles for the different electrode types and metals... the same kind of book for TIG & MIG would be swet too!!! Like an advanced book on welding, not just some home depot book that explains how to turn on a regulator and squeeze a mig gun...I want this so i can start practicing welding aluminum, stainless, titanium, alloys etc... I am not the worlds greatest welder.. but learning and improving my fit up/skills as a welder is what is most addictive. Each thing i make gets a little bit better and i cant put the torch down!2nd: a pricing book. I have been getting some nice jobs welding heavy equiptment but i have no idea how to price them, i want to be able to maintain a competetive advantage while maximizing profit... i weld mainly for personal enjoyment but its nice to do what you love and get some cash for doing it!!Miller Dynasty 300 DXMiller CST280Miller Maxstar 150 STH

Reply:there is no real 'pricing book' as such. you will have to keep an eye on suppliers' websites and build your own lists. in australia at least, steel prices fluctuate on a monthly basis and consumables vary a lot between suppliers. so shop around and ask for the best price. also some places will give you generous discounts once you have been a regular customer for a while.
