Razor blades welded.....with 7018

After all the talk of TIG welding razor blades, and many unanswered challenges for someone to stick weld the blades, I decided to give it a shot today. I was just killing time at work and didn't have the ideal rods to do it with, so I used the best we had: 3/32 7018. I set the machine at about 30 amps. Results? Not pretty, but I stuck it together.

Reply:I bet you could do it with like 1/16" 6013 with a whip and pause at about 15-20 amps.  Who is going to try it first?

Reply:The Stanley blades are probably a 400 series stainless steel which doesn't usually have the same corrosion resistance of a 300 series and is usually magnetic.

Reply:I'm in as well, but think a 1/16" 6013 would be a better rod choice when attempting it.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
