Hey gang, I have a question. I have a Lincoln 140 Weld Pak MIG and bought a 60 cubic 75% argon 25% CO2 tank for it. Do I need to use any plumber's tape on the connections and how tight should I make the connections? There's nothing in the manual about this. I thought I might of seen a video about using plumber's tape and some sort of liquid to test for leakage. Thanks!
Reply:No tape needed.Just hand tighten and then snug it up with a wrench.Just use Soapy water to test for leakage.Ed Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge

Reply:If you think that you have a leak in line somewhere, I've always mixed some dish soap and water, put it in a spray bottle and sprayed the lines. If you got bubbles, you got a leak.Go hot, or go home!
Reply:Good idea. I'll definitely have do that. |
