I picked up an Ideal 61-746 meter today, which has the ability to measure amperage. Question is, how accurate are these meters? Will it accurately give me the amp draw of my welders and other items in the shop? I'd be curious to see what kind of current I am pulling on different settings Thanks!
Reply:Isn't Google handy.http://www.idealindustries.com/produ...lamp_meter.jspWhat else can we search for you?

Reply:You can not measure welding cables with an AC clamp. It has to be DC. Also if you are welding a bead, a digital meter is to slow for a good reading

Reply:The meter you have has better than 2% accuracy measuring AC amps.It is made by Ideal, their tools are used by professional electricians and are of good quality."The reason we are here is that we are not all there"SA 200Idealarc TM 300 300MM 200MM 25130a SpoolgunPrecision Tig 375Invertec V350 ProSC-32 CS 12 Wire FeederOxweld/Purox O/AArcAirHypertherm Powermax 85LN25 |
