Reply:A member on this board has one - Qucifer or something like that and seems to like it. From what I've seen in person and read about them from cnc guys I would not consider it. They have one of the lightest duty designs for thier linear bearing system of all the hobby level tables out there. The one I've seen is at my local Metal Supermarket and they have a lot of problems with it - specially holding any tolerances. From my research I would steer you to a Torchmate kit in the same price range. They are heavier built. Having said that I do not own a table of my own. I have been researching and thinking about it for about 2 years now, and plan to build my own based on several of the designs that are out there and what I think will work best.
Reply:i have an ez-router and love it 5x10. check cnczone.com under the plasma section there is loads of info there. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=62bear
Reply:They had one at the school I went to. It is a "light" duty outfit. I used it a fair amount and I really liked it. It is really just like a pentagraph...sp?? but with this machine you can go off of a drawing. I used it to cut cupons out of 3/8th inch plate and it would cut the bevel rather close too. You will go to consumables if you do not take the time to set it up right. Matt |
